This month’s meeting of the Queen Anne Community Council’s Land Use Review and Planning Committee (LURC) will include two presentations; one by the developer of the CVS Project planned for Queen Ave and Mercer Street, and one by the Toll Brothers who will present their latest plans for the Seattle Children’s Home property. Please pass along to others who may be interested.
The presenters will have about 20 minutes to present their project then the LURC committee will comment and ask questions. Following the LURC discussion the floor will be open for public comment/questions, length determined by number of meeting attendees and time.
Velmeir Company, CVS Developer
Velmeir will present their proposal for the construction of a 16,000 sq ft CVS store in Uptown at the SW corner of Mercer St and Queen Avenue. They have presented their preliminary design to the Design Review Board during a EDG (Early Design Guidance) conference several months ago. I am told that Velmeir and their architects have advanced the design and now LURC will review the project.

The Toll Brothers, 60+ townhomes on the Seattle Children’s Home property
The Toll Brothers developer has purchased the 2.25 acre property formerly the home for over 100 years to Seattle Children’s Home. They have preliminary plans to demolish the buildings and replace them with +/- 60 townhouses, including interior driveways. LURC held an introductory meeting with Toll Brothers about 3 months ago. In the meantime they have advanced their design to a point where LURC will review the project.
