PHOTO EXHIBIT: Kayako Sareen, food photographer extraordinaire

The Chamber's own photographer (and an amazing photographer in her own right!), Kayako Sareen has a photo exhibit going on right now at the Craftworks Coffee Bar in Uptown Queen Anne. The photos on display are food images that she captured during a trip to India. Indian cuisine reflects a long history of various groups and cultures interacting with the subcontinent, leading to diversity of flavors and regional cuisines found in modern-day India.

Kayako printed the photographs on fine art watercolor paper and ripped edges manually to create a more organic feel of food that she captured at the food bazaars in India.

The exhibit will be at Craftworks for about two months. An evening reception is being planned now and you'll have a chance to meet Kayako, as well as a couple of other artists who also have their work displayed at the coffee bar. Craftworks Coffee Bar is located at 110 Republican Street in Seattle. You can also view other photos from Kayako's imazing collection at her website, www.kmaestudio.com
