Take photos at Queen Anne Day, post to social media and you just may WIN a prize for the most “likes!”

Take photos at this year’s Queen Anne Day, July 15th, and you* can win a prize for the most “likes!” All you have to do is take and post to the Chamber’s Facebook or Instagram. Be sure to use #queenanneday2017 when posting your photos. Take photos of you, your family and friends, enjoying the festival, the fun run, the Kids ‘n Kanine parade, the entertainment, kids games, etc.

The one who receives the most “likes” will receive a gift card donated by Massage Envy, valued at $60. Anyone can vote for their favorite photo. The winner will be announced on the Queen Anne Chamber’s website on Monday, July 24.

The annual Queen Anne Day community celebration attracts some 2,000 people, providing excellent visibility for your business. This year, the Queen Anne Chamber joins with the Queen Anne Helpline for an all-inclusive, day-long celebration that includes popular events for the entire family – the Fun Run, the Community Festival in Big Howe Park, and the weekend-long Sidewalk Sale, packed with free samples and amazing deals. Festival Update: More entertainment lineup added to festivities! Dancing in the streets, Bollywood-style, anyone?

Festival

Bring the whole family to the annual Queen Anne Day which will be at Little Howe Field, 1901 1st Ave West, next to the Community Center. There'll be plenty of food vendors, beer, wine & cider garden, live music and activities for everyone. And the kids will love playing all kinds of games that will be available throughout the day.

Fun Run

This annual event draws over 600 participants and raises important funds for the Queen Anne Helpline, a community based social service agency. It kicks off the Queen Anne Day celebration at 8 a.m. with a 5.5K run/walk around the crown of Queen Anne. The Fun Run is a beloved and inclusive community event with broad participation. Sidewalk Sale

Businesses along Queen Anne Avenue host a weekend-long Sidewalk Sale with free samples and amazing deals. We expect more than 500 people to participate. Not to be missed! Find out what businesses and stores have the sweet deals that you won't be able to resist!

 


WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

WANT TO VOLUNTEER? The Chamber needs volunteers--from setup on Friday to day-of-event help. Click the button to complete a Volunteer Sign Up form and someone will be back in touch to let you know where you will be assigned, when, and shift. Here is the list of where we need staffing, and the total number of volunteers for each.

NOTE: All volunteer assignments are for day-of event, EXCEPT Set Up, which is Friday, July 14. In all cases, we ask that volunteers arrive at least 10 minutes before their shift

SET UP (FRI., JULY 14)
3:00pm - 7:00pm
Volunteers needed: 12
Assignment: Setting up the field with booths, tents, stage, and the Beer/Wine/Cider Garden

CHILDREN'S GAMES
11:00am - 8:00pm
Volunteers needed: 12
3-hour shifts, 4 per shift

Assignment: Help with children's games like Dunk Tank, water balloons, bubbles, hula hoop, etc.

DIRECT VENDORS
9:00am - 5:00pm
Volunteers needed: 4
2 shifts

Assignment: Direct food, booth vendors to their tables, setup.

STAFF VARIOUS FOOD MACHINES
11:00am - 8:00pm

Volunteers needed: 6
3-hours shifts, 2 per shift

Assignment: Staff sno cone, popcorn machines.

BEER GARDEN/CHECK ID'S
11:00am - 8:00pm

Volunteers needed: 6
3-hour shifts, 2 per shift

Assignment: Check ID's, bartend

HOSPITALITY TENT
11:00am - 8:00pm

Volunteers needed: 6
3-hour shifts, 2 per shift

Assignment: Sell tickets for Beer/Wine/Cider Garden, pass out schedule of kids games, general event information.

CLEAN UP
3:00pm - 7:00pm

Volunteers needed: 6
2-hour shifts, 3 per shift

Assignment: Walk the field, picking up litter, general clean up of area.

TEAR DOWN
8:00pm - 10:00pm

Volunteers needed: 15
Assignment: Take down tents, booths, etc.
